Historic Event at St Francis de Sales

The Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus for the state of Georgia met this weekend at the FSSP parish of St Francis de Sales in the Atlanta Diocese. During a 2 hour ceremony 113 men were made Fourth degree Knights (the highest degree in the organization). Following this ceremony the Knights had a solemn high latin mass ( with honour guard) offerred by the FSSP. Dignitaries from several states attended. This mass was a formal black tie affair. After the mass 300 Knights and wives attended a banquet at the church. This is very significant because this is the first time such a meeting and ceremony has taken place at a traditional parish in the USA. All comments were favorable and the crowd really liked being in a beautiful traditional church, the solemn mass, gregorian chant etc. This large crowd ( and high up officals ) will now take this good impression back with them as they return to their parishes. The good that will come from this will continue to be felt in the future. This truely was an histoic event in the acceptance of the Latin Mass by the main stream of the american Catholic Church.

Traditional Knights of Columbus News

On Saturday April 25th ( Rogation Day) the Knights of Columbus for Georgia will hold a ceremony at the parish of St Francis de Sales in Mableton staffed by the FSSP. Men who desire to become 4th degree knights will be inducted into the degree . There will be a rare solemn high mass at 4:30 pm with an honour guard and all the pomp and ceremony you would expect. Please come and witness this special event. If you are a third degree Knight please take advantage of this opportunity.
