More Priest Training Opportunities

Here is another opportunity for any priest you know to attend an intensive training program to learn the Mass

The Canons Regular of St. John Cantius are continuing to offer training to priests and seminarians in the Extraordinary Form. Recently the Canons began teaching the Traditional Latin Mass as a part of the faculty of Mundelein Seminary in Chicago. The Canons Regular of St. John Cantius have trained more than 200 priests and seminarians from the USA, Canada, and abroad since Summorum Pontificum was released.
In conjunction with the Archdiocese of Chicago, the Canons are offering Traditional Latin Mass Training Workshops for priests, deacons and seminarians during May and July 2009 at Mundelein’s Cardinal Stritch Retreat House for priests just beginning to learn the 1962 liturgy as well as those clergy who are now ready to learn how to sing High Mass and offer other sacraments from the 1962 Rituale Romanum.
Those interested to learn the Extraordinary Form of the Latin Roman Rite (1962 Missale Romanum) will have a special opportunity over a period of five days to study the Traditional Latin Mass with the Canons Regular, as well as an opportunity to gain experience with the Traditional Roman Liturgy through hands-on demonstration, conferences, and question/answer sessions.
Each day the Mass will be celebrated according to the 1962 Missale Romanum. Low Mass and High Mass will be celebrated at all workshops. At some workshops, Solemn Mass and Pontifical Mass will be celebrated additionally.

Every workshop will provide:

Instruction in the Rubrics of the 1962 Missale Romanum
Instruction in the Low Mass (Missa Privata)
Instruction in the High Mass (Missa Cantata)
Instruction in the Gregorian Chant for the Priest
Instruction in the Pronunciation of Ecclesiastical Latin
Selected workshops will provide:
Instruction in the Sacrament of Baptism
Instruction in the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick
Instruction in the celebration of Nuptial Mass
Instruction in the celebration of Requiem Funeral Mass
