WOMENS VOCATION RETREAT IN ALABAMA

Photo taken of some of the nuns from the grill of their enclosure

Prayerful greetings from the Dominican Nuns in Marbury, Alabama.  Do you know anyone who might be interested in a religious vocation?  We are hosting a Vocation Retreat the weekend of June 13-15, and would like to invite homeschooled sophomores, juniors and seniors, homeschool graduates, or any interested young women to learn more.  Could you pass on our invitation to your homeschool group and anyone who might like to learn more?

Thank you so much!  Several of our Sisters were homeschooled, and know firsthand the value of parents so dedicated to the Faith.  Our retreat went well last year--please pray that many young women will respond to Our Lord's invitation this year also.   May God bless and Our Lady keep you and your families!

With assurance of prayers in Our Lady,
Mother Mary Joseph, O.P. and Sisters

CREATION & EVOLUTION SEMINAR

The parish of St Francis de Sales in the Atlanta Archdiocese will have a seminar on Creation & Evolution, by the Kolbe Center. There will be three speakers to present what the Catholic Church teaches and what we as Catholics are to believe about this subject. It will expose the truth that evolution is not scientific, and how the Church's failure to respond to the threat of atheism contributed to the current culture of death. You will learn how to defend the Catholic teaching on evolution & creation from those who think we evolved from monkeys. The seminar is on Saturday April 5th from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm in the gym behind the church.
