The Franciscans Are Coming

The traditional Franciscans of the Immaculatta are coming south for a visit. These Franciscans are the "real deal" and are 100% authentic. They use the traditional liturgical books of 1962 and live a life as the Franciscans did before Vatican II. They are the group of Saint Maximillian Kolby. They will be at the parish of St Francis de Sales in Mableton Archdiocese of Atlanta on June 26th. They will hold a day long retreat called " A Day With Mary".There is no fee to attend. There will be priests, Friars, and nuns at the event. The theme will be on a day of instruction, devotion,and interssion based on the message of Fatima.

Schedule of the Day

8:50 am Parish Hall DVD on Fatima

10:oo am Procession of Our Lady of Lorretto, Crowning ceremony, sung Litany of Lorretto, Joyfull mysteries

11:00 am Latin High Mass of Our Lady, Consecration of the parish to Immaculate

12:30 pm Lunch-bring a sack lunch ( bookstore open)

1:30 pm Exposition, Eucharistic Procession, Luminous Mysteries

2:10 pm Sermon on Our Lady, Sorrowful mysteries, silent adoration

3:10 pm Meditation on the Passion

3:45 pm break ( bookstore open)

4:15 pm Glorious Mysteries, Act of Consecration, Benediction

5:05 pm Investiture of the Brown Scapular and Miraculous Medal, Marian Procession

5:25 End of the Day

CORPUS CHRISTI PROCESSION

The only traditional Corpus Chrisiti procession in the State of Georgia will take place on June 6th at St Francis de Sales Mableton, in the Archdiocese of Atlanta. There will be a Missa Cantata at 11:30 am. At the end of mass the Blessed Sacrament will then be carried in an outdoor procession stopping at the traditional altars set up along the route. The elaborate procession will include Knights of Columbus and other Catholic organizations. The procession will return to the church for the conclusion of the ceremony.

Palestrina High Mass Birmingham Alabama

If traveling this holiday weekend there is a High Mass in Birmingham Alabama at Blessed Sacrament Church.

THIS SUNDAY, May 30 at 3:30 PM: All faithful are invited to attend a High Mass for the celebration of Trinity Sunday. Father Kennedy will celebrate the Mass at Blessed Sacrament Church (click for map). The organist and choir have prepared Palestrina's Missa brevis in F. This mass is sponsored by Una Voce.

HISTORIC HIGH MASS AT ST PETER THE ROCK MAY 23

There will be a first ever High Mass at St Peter The Rock, in The Rock, Ga, Archdiocese of Atlanta. on Sunday May 23 2010. Father Fischer of the FSSP will give a talk on the Latin Mass at 4:00 pm and High Mass will follow at 4:30 pm. This location is at the southern edge of the Atlanta Diocese and thus very accessible to those in the northern Savannah Diocese. Please spread the word.
