AUGUSTA LATIN MASS UPDATE

Most Holy Family Agusta We have more wonderful news to share with you all. We have secured donors for ALL the items we have posted, including EVERY COLOR OF VESTMENT! The items were posted on Friday and by Sunday, we had secured offers of donations and sponsorships for everything! God is good and your generosity is astounding! We are still processing the funds and ordering the items, but we hope to have all of them in hand within the next couple weeks. Over the next few weeks, we ask that you redouble your efforts in the form of prayer and fasting for this effort. Obviously if you can make financial donations, we will put them to use as we still have items to purchase. We have a Venmo QR code posted (see below post) that you can scan to send funds as well as a PayPal account at augustalatinmass@gmail.com for sending bank transfers. Of course, we can also take old fashioned checks. However, most importantly this Ember Week, we ask you to use Wednesday, Friday and Saturday to pray and fast in THANKSGIVING for His many blessings and to beseech God to continue to bless us and this effort! IF YOU LIVE IN THE AREA PLEASE CONTACT THE LATIN MASS GROUP TO OFFER SUPPORT FOR THIS GREAT OPPORTUNITY. Also please spread the word about the group.  They need many people to help out and make this a success. NEW LATIN MASS LOCATION IN SAVANNAH DIOCESE

Our Lady Star of the Sea, Saint Mary's Georgia

BIG NEWS THERE IS NOW ANOTHER LATIN MASS IN THE SAVANNAH DIOCESE

More evidence that the Savannah Diocese is blessed  with a wonderful new Bishop.  H. E. Stephen Parkes, has asked his priests in the Valdosta Brunswick  Deanery to establish a Latin Mass in their deanery as a result of many of the Faithful having written the Bishop asking for one. The Bishop being a true shepherd has generously responded to the requests of the Faithful. Father Jake Almeter, pastor of Our Lady Star of the Sea has graciously responded to the Bishops request by immediately starting a Latin Mass at his parish. He anticipates that this will be a monthly mass. The first Sunday Latin Mass will be on March 14th (Laetare Sunday) at 4:00 pm It is crucial that we get a large crowd at this mass as well as all future masses. PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD. Please thank Father Almeter for doing this. Hopefully there will be enough support to expand this to a weekly Sunday mass in the future.

CANDLEMAS SAVANNAH DIOCESE 2021

Distribution and Procession at Candlemas

CANDLEMASS OBSERVED AT SAINT ANNE'S

RICHMOND HILL GA

Kudos go out to Father McDonald at St Anne's parish in the Savannah Diocese. His parish was the only place the Faithful could attend Candlemas in the Savannah Diocese.  Candles for the parish are blessed for the year as well as for the Faithful. They are used  by priests for the St Blaze throat blessing . The Faithful take these candles home to be used for baptisms, and are lit for prayers after dusk on All Saints Day, Extreme Unction, and during storms Please make sure you thank Father Mc Donald for his devotion to tradition.
