SAVANNAH DIOCESE LATIN MASS UPDATE

 















LATIN MASS STILL BEING CELEBRATED IN THE SAVANNAH DIOCESE

Una Voce South Georgia has contacted us to spread the following news:

All information concerning the Latin Mass in the Savannah Diocese has been removed from all  Diocese web pages as well as all parish bulletins. You might think the masses are canceled however they are still taking place. Please help spread the word about the masses. You can always check with Una Voce South Georgia for all the latest official news and updates for the traditional mass in the Savannah Diocese. Contact Una Voce South Georgia at the below QR code:


Masses are as follows:

Savannah : Every Sunday 1:00 pm Sacred Heart Church, pot luck every 2nd Sunday
(N.B. they will also have a 9;00 am mass on Christmas morning)

Augusta: 12:30 pm every 4th Sunday, pot luck follows (however for December the mass will be on the 31st)

Ray City: 3:00 pm every 2nd Sunday

ARCHDIOCESE ATLANTA GUADALUPE FESTIVAL


 













CELEBRATE THE FEAST OF THE VIRGEN OF GUADALUPE WITH THE FSSP

The FSSP parish in the Atlanta Archdiocese will celebrate the great Feast of the Virgen of Guadalupe on Sunday December 10th 2023. The festival will take place following the 10:30 am high mass. There will be a Mariachi band, Dancers, and a food truck.  Come and tail gate and celebrate the patroness of the Americas.

FSSP IS THRIVING

 








Second year seminarians arriving for tonsure

FSSP EXPERIENCING TREMENDOUS GROWTH

Notwithstanding the crisis in the church, the FSSP is having tremendous growth in its numbers.  These numbers are only half of the success. They have both quantity AND quality in their members. Here are the latest statistics:

Total members: 569

priests: 368

deacons: 22

seminarians: 179

They are currently in 146 dioceses, at 249 churches/parishes. They have 48 personal parishes in 20  countries. Of course one of these personal parishes in located here in the Atlanta Archdiocese. The nationality breakdown in current seminarians are : 32% Americans, 25% French, and 10% German. Remainder are various countries.
