Benedictine Abbess with Pontificals
For the first time EVER in the USA, a Bishop will consecrate a Benedictine Abbess according to the ancient Rites of Holy Mother Church. This weekend, the Benedictine sisters in Gower Missouri will have their church consecrated, their new abbess consecrated, first professions of sisters, and investiture of new postulants. The schedule is Sunday 10:00 am the consecration of the abbatial church, and Monday the consecration of the abbess, vows/investitures of the sisters at 11:00 am.
