Confraternity of Christain Mothers in Nigeria
CONFRATERNITY OF CHRISTAIN MOTHERS HAS JUST BEEN ESTABLISHED IN THE ARCHDIOCESE OF ATLANTA
The Archbishop of Atlanta has just established the Confraternity of Christain mothers in the archdiocese. The confraternity will be erected at the parish of Saint Francis de Sales and will be under the direction of the FSSP. The confraternity will have its first meeting on Saturday, October 15, 2022. All women (mothers or not), ages 18 and up, are invited to come for the 9 a.m. parish Mass and meet in the social hall at 10:15 a.m. for the first monthly "mini retreat for mothers," where you will learn information on the confraternity, receive a formation talk by Father Rapoport FSSP, and have social time. Coffee and light refreshments will be provided, and the meeting will wrap up no later than noon. Childcare will not be available, but nursing babies are welcome. Subsequent meetings will follow a similar format and take place every third Saturday. By receiving Our Lord in Holy Communion, working together, meeting regularly to pray with and for one another and their children, the members of the confraternity are schooled in the ideals of Christian womanhood, wifehood, and motherhood, and aid one another in educating their children at home to become faithful members of the Catholic Church and imitators of Mary, the ideal Mother, and her perfect Son, Jesus Christ.
